Dear CASPY Families, 

All of us here at the Chinese Adopted Siblings Program for Youth at Yale University hope that this message finds you and your family well. 

With our Saturday, October 29th just a couple of weeks away, we're excited to release the official Fall 2016 CASPY Day Registration form. The deadline for registration is October 14th at 11:59 PM EST. 

**Please note the date change.  We have previously sent out an email saying that CASPY would be on November 5th but due to room booking issues, CASPY will now be a week earlier.**

NB: 

Once you sign up, please expect a confirmation of registration email by the Sunday night after your registration. 

Since we rely on accurate numbers for planning, we ask that if you sign up but find out that you are unable to attend, to please let us know ASAP.

Below, please check out a SAMPLE schedule, taken from our Spring 2016 event. PLEASE NOTE that small details may change, but generally, it will be the same program

SAMPLE SCHEDULE (Spring 2016) 

11:00 am - 11:30 am: Registration in LC 102

11: 30 am - 12:30 pm: Lunch of Delicious Chinese food in LC 218

12:30 pm - 3:00 pm: Kids / Teens / Parents Program 

    Our kids program will include crafts and fun activities designed to help adoptees connect to Chinese culture such as our photo booth, mural making, face painting, lantern making, storytelling, puppet making, Chinese culture skits, potentially martial arts. 

 

     Teens Program: Our Teens program will be an active, fun program designed to bring our teens together into a dynamic community. This includes a cultural scavenger hunt, karaoke, three legged races, potentially eating at the dining hall, Chinese language games, basketball and more. 

 

     In our parents program (LC 317), enjoy coffee and bagels while socializing with other parents. This semester, our parents program will be optional and casual. We'll have refreshments and a comfortable place to talk and connect with others. 

 

2:40 pm - 3 pm: Chinese Culture Skit for the kids

3 pm - 4:00 pm Talent show 

4:00 Event ends

 

ABOUT CASPY

The Chinese Adopted Siblings Program for Youth, also known as CASPY, is a biannual cultural event held on Yale campus. Directed towards families with adopted Chinese children, it seeks to educate and inform both parents and children about the Chinese culture in a fun and relaxed setting.  Held at Yale University Campus at the William L. Harkness Hall in New Haven, CT
